It's often shortened to 1D. It was formed in London, England on 23 July 2010. The band was formed by the judge of X-Factor, (British Television signing competition) Simon Cowell.  There are five members, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik. They got disband in 2015 when Zayn Malik left the band, (Maybe because he want to get a normal life and want to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight.
